I grew up in the heart of America’s coal country — a place where the land and the people carry generations of strength, but also the scars of environmental harm. I witnessed firsthand how the mining industry left behind more than empty ground — it left polluted water, broken communities, and lost connections to nature.
That experience inspired me to do things differently.
